Q3 2026 Release Notes (July - September) Customer-facing features and improvements released in Q3 2026 across 39 releases (v1.175.0-v1.197.0).

New Features

New Features Added the Study Accelerator to analyze study information and prepare draft projects for expert review, with study-level controls, cancel and restart options, and JSON and Markdown uploads. Added AI expert-review comparisons, cost tracking, and links to reviews from the Study Overview. Added a TriNet review workflow that retrieves documents from Salesforce, analyzes them with AI, and delivers results. Added W-2 reconciliation from uploaded documents, including support for multiple W-2s per employee and replacing an original W-2 with a W-2c. Added state-credit opportunity notifications for clients beyond California and Partner Team provisioning for alliance and referral distributions. Added dark mode with a user-selectable theme. Added automatic annual duties review tasks when cloning studies and AI rubric client tasks in scorecard reports.

 

Existing Feature Updates

Existing Feature Updates Improved Study Accelerator setup, draft review, and resilience to interrupted runs and changing study data. Run notifications now indicate when results are ready; uploads are limited to 5 MB. Improved payroll connection and intake workflows, including clearer connection readiness and handling for historical payroll data limitations. Moved W-2 extraction to AI OCR and removed the previous Sensible comparison path. Updated client-facing project views to hide unpublished projects and make draft status easier to identify. Improved AI workflow reliability with retry and fallback handling for prompt completions. Updated expense and employee terminology, including renaming Computer Rentals to Cloud and Computer Costs.


 

Fixes

Fixes Fixed wage-access protections across payroll expense rows and report downloads. Fixed payroll processing and W-2 handling, including crashes after remounts, unreadable-file reporting, and reconciliation issues. Fixed expense imports and updates that could fail on empty or rejected files, miss expenses, or create duplicate allocations. Fixed issues in AI review workflows, including interrupted TriNet reviews for password-protected documents and incorrect expert-review fields. Fixed study and project navigation issues involving deleted records, stacked dialogs, and interrupted accelerator runs. Fixed data accuracy issues affecting fiscal-year QRE values and duplicated expense descriptions.
